Shakespeare Journeys Inside San Quentin Prison

So why even have such a program? Why is it important on this day at San Quentin Prison and for these eleven men behind bars? According to some studies, ninety percent of California State inmates will be released into the community again. Inmates involved in the Prison Arts Project “have 75% fewer disciplinary actions and a recidivism rate that is 27% lower than the general prison population.”
